Who is responsible

Kaal Systems, Kenya, operates BaroBot and is responsible for your data under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. Contact: @coachbinali on Telegram.

What we collect

Your Telegram chat ID and the name on your Telegram profile, and a nickname if you choose one.
The messages and voice notes you send to BaroBot, and the replies.
Lesson progress, quiz and game results, points and streak.
Payment records: amount, date, Paystack reference and status. Card and M-Pesa details stay with Paystack and M-Pesa; we never see your PIN.

Why

To teach you: reply to your messages, send lessons, keep your progress and leaderboard place, take payments, prevent abuse, and check the quality of the tutor's replies.

Who processes it for us

Telegram (messaging); OpenRouter and the AI models it provides (replies and speech recognition); DeepInfra (the tutor's voice); Anthropic (quality checks of replies); Paystack (payments); Render (hosting, in the EU). They process data only to provide their part of the service. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Voice notes you send: 7 days.
Conversations: 183 days, then deleted.
Your account, progress and points: while you use BaroBot.
Payment records: as long as the law requires for financial records.

What others see

The weekly leaderboard shows only your nickname (or "Arday" with a number), never your phone number or Telegram details.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, or have your account and conversations deleted, by messaging @coachbinali. Payment records we must keep by law are kept even after deletion.
